The new uDirect 2 Professional package is aimed at firms like pension and insurance providers who produce lengthy finance reports.
"Data driven graphics are a strong point," said managing director Ivor Dixon. "The ability to put a pie chart in with personal information is a very powerful tool."
He said the software built on its predecessor uDirect, launched last November, and included new features such as the ability to access multiple databases to look at relationships between tables.
The 7,500 package also allows text and tables to spill over from one page to the next, offering more flexibility on the long documents typically produced by finance houses.
He said the firm had secured its first sale, but refused to name the finance house. Shepperton's Positive Focus supplies the entire XMPie range, which also includes uChart and uStore.
