The £22m division has divided into Print Services and Technology Solutions, with existing directors Matt Spencer and Paul Seaborn at the respective helms.
The re-aligned businesses consist of print and project management under Print Services and software solutions for supply chain management, publishing, marketing and stationery under Technology Solutions.
Applied Solutions category director Tim Smith said the decision to split the company had been taken against the backdrop of increasing turnover and long-term contracts with firms such as Virgin, Asda and Cadbury.
Joining Polestar Applied Solutions is Laura Lusardi as a solutions manager and Steve Baldwin as quality manager.
Both have worked in the group before. Lusardi worked in customer services at Httprint and Baldwin was project manager at Chantry.
