The direct mail division has installed four DocuPrint 525s alongside five CMC mailers and an Ehret finishing machine. The installation will run alongside Polestar Direct's existing Xerox equipment including 12 DocuPrint 180s and two DocuColor 2060s.
"We have bought this equipment to be more efficient in the market," said Polestar Direct managing director Geoff Mordt. "We have opted for Xerox because its backup is excellent and so far it has been a very good partnership."
The installation represents a major breakthrough in the continuous feed market for Xerox, according to Xerox graphic arts director Peter Taylor.
"We have looked to increase our share in the continuous feed market and this is quite a significant win for us," said Taylor. "We have developed a strong relationship with Polestar Direct and this move is the most high profile installation that we have had in the sector."
