PMP Solutions in administration

Print and mailing specialist Philip Myers Press (Holdings), which trades as PMP Solutions, has gone into administration, but is continuing to trade.

The administrator has made 28 of the Warrington-based company's 80 employees redundant.

Graham Wild, Simon Wilson and Stuart Mackellar, of insolvency practitioner Zolfo Cooper, were appointed to the £10m-turnover business last week.

Accoridng to Zolfo Cooper, a combination of high overhead costs and depressed trading conditions, brought on by the current economic climate, "exhausted the business's cashflow".

Wild said: "We believe the best result for creditors will be achieved with a sale of the business as a going concern and we are hopeful of securing a buyer.

"PMP Complete Solutions is an established brand in the area, having provided high-quality printing and marketing services to numerous clients over the past 30 years."

PrintWeek understands that several companies have expressed an interest in the business.
