Plastic Art Company moves premises

Finishing house The Plastic Art Company has moved premises and added a D&K Jupiter DS to expand its lamination services.

The Manchester-based company was formed in 1983 and has been at the Chorlton Street premises ever since.

It began as an encapsulation specialist but has added additional services such as wiro and plastic spiral binding, creasing, hole punching and slot punching.

The move to a new site at Temperance Street allowed it to expand its services even further.

Managing director John Kitchingman said: "We had offered a small laminating operation previously alongside our other services, but our new, larger premises mean we can now offer a quicker turnaround and take on longer runs of both single and double-sided lamination."

The Jupiter DS is a compact one or two-sided laminator which can handle sheet sizes up to B2. The machine will be shown in the UK for the first time at Ipex.
