Pitney Bowes to up its mailstream biz plans

The mailstream technology company Pitney Bowes India (PBI) began 2011 on a high note with the announcement of going live on digital franking machines.

The machines are powered by Remotely Managed Franking System (RMFS). The company has plans to introduce more vertical specific customer communication management (CCM) solutions.

According to PBI, it has over 12,000 customers using various products from franking to high-end mailing and inserting systems.

"Some of our largest installations of high end inserters like the flexible productivity series (FPS) are in the National Capital Region which is the best selling inserter for Pitney Bowes across the globe. One of the unique feature of the FPS is the level of integrity in processing mails at very high speeds," said H Sivaramakrishnan, director-marketing at PBI.

Pitney Bowes has over 25 high end post production installations across different verticals.

PBI has also claimed that its office mailing inserters has an installed base of over 40 machines and are being used again by different verticals in the BFSI and others to send various customer communications like, bank statements while others like  staffing companies are using these machines to send salary slips.
