Pitney Bowes launches inserting lines for newcomers to mailing

Finishing and mailing equipment manufacturer Pitney Bowes has launched four inserting lines at Ipex.

The Mailstream Evolution Inserting System high-volume inserter and Companion table-top inserter had their European debuts at the show.

UK debuts were also given to the DI6100 inserter for transactional mail and the DPS 100, which is targeted at businesses new to mailing.

The Evolution is the successor to the Split Drive Inserting System and incorporates several upgrades to its predecessor.
It processes DL envelopes at up to 14,000 mail pieces per hour (pph), C5 envelopes at up to 12,000pph and C4 mail at up to 9,000pph.

The Companion system can handle DL envelopes up to C4 at 5,400pph.

The DI6100 can process letter format and C4 pocket envelopes simultaneously, although it can also handle each format separately.

It can accommodate six feeders and has an optional inserting table to allow the processing of A4 flat material into C4 pocket envelopes.

The DPS 100 runs at 16,000pph for DL format and at 12,000pph for C4 format using a servo motor.
