Peterborough-based Pims National specialises in direct mail with services including litho, colour digital, polywrapping and envelope printing. The firm will now trade as CMM National.
All 115 staff will remain at the firm and the management team will continue to be led by managing director Kevin Semple. Pims National has a turnover of 8m.
"It's another step for us to move more into the direct mail area and Pims National has more commercial clients to our own," said CMM chief executive Yolanda Noble. "There will be no restructuring at the company as the management has run a lean ship."
Pims National was previously part of Pims Holdings. Its chairman Julian Henchley claimed that the division was sold off because the group "decided to focus on the digital and litho business in the UK as well as North America".
"We felt that the direct mail sector was changing with increased regulation and thought that we were better off moving out of the market," he said.
Henchley added that the group was set to invest in new equipment this year. The company is spending 3m on two Heidelberg presses, a 10-colour and a six-colour, which are set to be installed in March at Pims' litho plant in Somerset.
