Service Graphics has completed its buyout of the core UK Graphics businesses of Photobition from its administrative receivers (PrintWeek, 9 November 2001).
The new firm is led by Charlie Reed, Paul Green and Ben Moss, who originally created, developed and ran the Photobition UK Graphics business.
It has bought the business and assets of Photobition, Photobition Service, Photobition Scanachrome, Photobition Jupiter, Photobition (Great Western), Photobition Lea Design and Photobition B&S.
The businesses have ceased to use the Photobition name and most have reverted to their original trading names.
Head of marketing Rob Kelly said: We felt that the damage done to the Photobition brand was so great that it was not viable to continue under that name.
The administrative receivers are now concentrating on the sale of the film storage and distribution business, known as Novo Group.
It has two UK locations in Southall and Heston, plus several abroad, and negotiations are at an advanced stage.
