Pass4press 4, a new version of the magazine advertising specification that adheres to PDF/X 1a, is to be unveiled at the event, which takes place today (30 October).
The Vio-hosted pass4press online pre-flight service is also being launched at the event. It is based on Markzware technology and Cond Nast, Emap, IPC, Natmags and Profile Media have already signed up.
Proof4press, the standard for digital proofing, will be unveiled at the show. Proofers that pass a visual assessment and produce results measured within a deltaE of 2 from the aim value are eligible for accreditation. Pass4proof proofs need to carry a special control strip that has been read and passed by the proof4press Verifier software, developed for the PPA and available from Laurie Mullaney Associates.
