Overmatter: happy birthday, hot stuff

It’s been a while since Overmatter has had a nice print-related cake to write about, so thanks goodness for Systematic Print Management, which has saved us from our slough of sponge-deprived despond.

While the idea of setting fire to one’s own employees is perhaps a tad outré, we’re loving the ingenuity in this Photoshop mash-up to celebrate the Caistor company’s 40th anniversary.

That’s managing director Chris Robey on the left, blowing out the ‘candles’.

Note also the jolly daffs seen in the background, Systematic’s founder Nick Robey is a big fan of the jaunty spring flowers, and Systematic sent out whopping 4,000 daffodils to customers, staff, local charities and schools as part of the celebrations to mark its milestone. Fortunately the firm managed to hang onto a few bulbs to plant in its own grounds as well.

“Daffodils are also said to be a lucky emblem of future prosperity, which the team can take forward in their decades of trading ahead,” says the company.

Systematic also holds a Royal Warrant. We like to think HM Queen enjoyed the daffs as well.
