The Southampton-based unit of the UK's national mapping agency has installed a Schneider Senator 137 S-Line Trimmaster (pictured), with pile hoist, jogger and restacker, all from UK agent Friedheim International.
The guillotine replaces a 25-year-old Polar 115.
"The Schneider gives us more flexibility, we can now also handle our smaller map ranges," said print and finishing manager Andy Reid.
He added the Schneider's cutting mechanism reduces blade wear, cuts knife change from two hours to 20 minutes and automatically returns the blade to the safe position if the cut is interrupted.
The print services unit will also take delivery of a 1,200x 1,620mm format six-colour KBA 162a press in the summer.
