Trafford Press Corporate Finances head office is also moving to a new site in central Manchester, close to the citys financial district.
The firm has put its premises in Chester Road up for sale and hopes to complete the move to the city centre within two months.
It also hopes to move its print operation to a new site in Trafford Park in six to 12 months, depending on planning approval. It is considering several sites and will invest in new sheetfed equipment as part of the move.
The site will mainly handle commercial print but will also do some financial print.
The Corporate Finance office allocates work around the group according to production needs. Greenaways London site offers digital printing and Pillans & Waddies can do web printing where required.
We definitely see the corporate finance market picking up in the next six months in Manchester and Leeds, said Trafford Press managing director Michael Gardner.
Trafford Press dates back more than 130 years and was the printing arm of the Co-op group before it was bought by Ormolu four years ago.
Ormolu officially merged Waddies with Pillans & Wilson in April to form Pillans & Waddies (PrintWeek, 2 May). The group bought Waddies in May 2002.
