Océ was listed in the top 10% of Dutch companies in the CDL, which is a key component of the Netherlands 50 Report of the 50 largest companies on Euronext Amsterdam that have shown the most professional approach in their climate change disclosure practices.
The list is used by institutional investors to assess companies' environmental credibility.
"The Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index recognises companies that demonstrate good internal data management practices for understanding greenhouse gas emissions, including energy use," said Paul Dickinson, CDP executive chairman.
"Companies that make this index have also demonstrated clear consideration of how climate change impacts their business. As companies’ understanding of climate change issues grows, they are better placed to take positive action to manage and mitigate its risks."
Océ Senior Vice President Corporate Public Affairs & Sustainability Harry Loozen said: "This honor recognises the efforts we have undertaken since we clearly defined our sustainability strategy and targets in 2008. Our strategic approach to this issue is simple: we aim to enable our customers to prosper while reducing our environmental footprint."
