NS&I takes up Royal Mail's Sustainable Mail for DM campaigns

National Savings and Investments (NS&I) has become Royal Mail's first Government customer to take up its Sustainable Mail service for its direct mail campaigns.

By meeting certain environment criteria set by Royal Mail, NS&I can take advantage of cheaper postal services. The Sustainable Mail service meets the upcoming BSI standard for Environmental Performance for Direct Marketing PAS 2020. It offers discounted rates of up to 4.7%.

NS&I will start using the service from July 2009.

Tim Mack, head of marketing and communications at NS&I said: "We welcomed and encouraged Royal Mail's development of Sustainable Mail and are proud to meet the criteria and pleased to save money on postage costs."
