NJP to unveil future plan at ECMOD

New Jarrold Printing will use next months ECMOD event (European Catalogue and Mail Order Days) to reveal further details of its new factory plans.

The Norwich firm expects to finalise its decisions on press supplier and location in time for the show, where it will have a stand.

NJP said its planned "40m superplant" would provide "greatly enhanced capacity for the company's increasing number of catalogue, commercial and magazine customers".

The firm is planning to buy two new 64pp webs and a 16pp cover press for the new factory, which is scheduled for completion by the end of next year.

Sales and marketing director Ian Thorpe stated: "Whereas most companies simply evolve, we're creating something totally new to better serve our customers".

Pictured is an artist's impression of the new facility which would fit onto two of the three sites being considered. The third option is a "more linear" layout.

ECMOD takes place from 24-25 November at the Earls Court exhibition centre in London.

As PrintWeek went to press, chief executive Bob Pitts was inspecting the KBA webs at Hansaprint in Finland.
