Nipson back on track for 2007

Nipson Digital Printing Systems has announced that its operating loss dipped to under 1m for 2006.

Rimon Ben-Shaoul, the digital press manufacturer’s chairman, said that the company was now well on the way to recovery following a tumultuous 2005 in which the company posted a loss of more than £4m.

He said: “The anticipated recovery of the business is now in prospect. It will come from increasing sales of high-end machines, steady growth of recurrent revenues, expected improved profitability on the maintenance business and the working through of the cost reduction programmes.

For 2006, the company’s turnover was £31m, compared to £29m in 2005. Pre-tax losses stood at £1.3m, a marked improvement on 2005’s figure of £4.3m.
