It has signed a deal with Dutch software developer Techno Design, which will develop a version of Personalizer-X that will output files in the PPML/VDX variable data standard.
The PPML/VDX version of Personalizer-X will be sold exclusively by NexPress. Techno Design is working on this version of the software, which it expects to complete in a few months time.
It expects it to become the standard variable data authoring application for NexPress users. Personalizer-X is also available in versions to support other variable data file formats. A standard version outputs PostScript with optional drivers to support PDF and IntelliStream.
The software was originally developed for Agfas Chromapress and passed to Xeikon when it bought that business back from Agfa. Last year Techno Design brought the software back in-house and released version three this year.
It is available via specialist QuarkXTension resellers, which in the UK includes Xchange International and Alta Technology.
