TJ Books managing director Andy Watts is hoping the industry in general can cooperate more in 2022, and that the pandemic-induced onshoring trend will become a permanent choice.

What positives are you able to draw on from the experiences of 2021?
Despite all the trading difficulties and a covid hangover, our team have not lost sight of the business strategy.

What trend (business or technology) do you think has been accelerated because of the impact of Covid?
The drive for greater automation and investment in training and development of our staff.

What do you think will represent the single biggest opportunity for printers in 2022 and why?
To make the current trend of onshoring print, a permanent fixture.

What are your hopes for 2022?
A better-balanced blend of cooperation between all those involved in our industry. We are in it together after all.

Describe your ‘new normal’?
Mutual benefit for all.

What piece of advice do you wish you had been given and when?
Practice the guitar more at the age of 11.

Play my guitar more!
