New name for Leicester POS specialist

Dan Jacques: Melita name has significant personal connection to the family firm

A Leicester-based point-of-sale and installation specialist has united its three separate brands under a new group identity – Melita POS.

The family-owned firm offers a raft of services including design, printing and manufacturing, warehousing, merchandising and installation.

The business was established in 1997 and previously operated as Display Logistics, DL Manufacturing and KK Installations.

Husband and wife team Shivena and Steve Jacques originally founded the company, and their son Dan has just taken over as managing director.

The other management team members are director Emily Jacques, operations director Rich Metcalf, production director Glynn Parker, and warehouse director Mark Jacques.

The firm, which employs 35 and has sales of more than £6m, said the rebrand marked “a new beginning” with an investment programme on the cards.

Dan Jacques said he was incredibly proud to take on this role and continue the family legacy.

"Our rebranding as Melita POS and the integration of our diverse services are pivotal steps in enhancing our ability to serve our clients more effectively.

“Melita is a name with significant personal connection to our family, making it the perfect choice for a business that values long-term relationships.”

Shivena Jacques’ middle name is Melita.

The firm’s ambitions include more than doubling sales and increasing its workforce, with aspirations to become “a global heavyweight”.

Melita POS works for well-known retailers and blue-chip brands, with clients including Givenchy, Sisley, Max Factor, LVMH, Boots, Superdrug and Asda.

Its manufacturing setup for POS production spans printing, laser cutting, vacuum forming, and wood and metal work.
