Its SpectraView Reference 241 covers 98% of the Adobe RGB colour space and is equipped with IPS technology, designed specifically for colour-critical applications such as pre-press, soft proofing, DTP and professional photography.
The wide-format LCD monitor also features 3D LUT (look-up tables) for precise colour space emulation and 14-bit LUT for each RGB channel, which NEC said enabled outstanding colour control and gamma correction.
In addition, the SpectraView Reference 241 offers 360cd/m2 (candela per square metre) brightness, 1,920x1,200 pixel resolution, and is TCO 5.0 certified, which confirms compliance with strict ecological and ergonomic standards.
The monitor is priced at £1,419, including NEC's SpectraView Profiler 4.1 software on CD, light protection hood, power cable, DisplayPort and DVI-D cable, manual, installation software and drivers.
