Jellyfish, which is targeted at 11- to 19-year-old girls, is the second e-zine to use Fresh Media Group’s (FMG) Ceros software. Group marketing director Dominic Duffy has revealed there will be at least one more Ceros-powered launch this year.
Jellyfish’s first issue marked the beginning of a 14-week test phase for the magazine, and coincided with the release of Ceros version 1.8.
Duffy said the latest version featured a new statistics back-end system, based on feedback from Dennis, which would allow publishers to view real-time data, such as number of views per page.
He added: “This opens the way for the next version, which will allow comparison of the current statistics against previous weeks.”
Meanwhile, NatMags has initiated a six-week, in-house pre-media trial on Runner’s World, which it said was part of a strategy to trial pre-press functions in-house.
NatMags application support and development manager Sean Briggs said: “This is something I’ve been looking at for years. There are a couple of titles in our portfolio that lend themselves to it.”
Briggs was keen to stress that the trial was being carried out in cooperation with its pre-media partner, Wyndeham Pre-press. “It’s definitely not a breakaway from Wyndeham – we’re still working with them,” he said.
However, a successful conclusion to the trial could raise the possibility of a roll-out across a greater number or NatMags’ titles.
