Morgana grabs Japan orders

UK manufacturer Morgana Systems has rounded off a successful series of export sales with an order for eight of its Morgana Major folders from Uchida, its Japanese distributor.

Morgana has doubled exports every year for the past three years. It now ships 3,000 machines, which accounts for over 80% of its output.

"We concentrated our efforts on European markets three years ago, now we're looking at new markets," said Morgana export manager Andy Cooper.

Uchida has also ordered a "substantial number" of Morgana's semi-automatic creasing unit, the Electro-Creaser.

Milton Keynes-based Morgana has also reported a 100,000 (AUS$250,000) folder deal from its Australian agent. Additionally Italian distributor Forgraf has placed a mixed order for folding systems and creasers.
