The Irish business replaced its existing MBO B2 and MBO 660 SRA1 folders with the new machine from Friedheim International in May.
Managing director Liam Cody said: “We've used MBOs for about five years and they are fantastic machines: they do what they say they will.”
Cody, who paid £47,000 for the machine as part of a trade in deal with the two existing MBOs, hopes to add 10% to his 17-staff company's £2m turnover within 12 months.
“With the amount of work we throughput every day we needed a folder we could rely on to keep working and not break down at inopportune moments.
“The MBO B26 Efficiency buckle folder is such a reliable workhorse and by installing an MBO A76 mobile delivery unit as well, our folding operation is far more productive and efficient.”
Formed in 1962, Modern Printers in Kilkenny handles all types of general commercial work such as banners, fliers and leaflets in runs from from 20 up to 20,000.
Other kit includes an Oliver 475 SD full colour B2 press and a two-colour Heidelberg GTO 52. Digital kit includes Xerox 1000, Versant, Nuvera 144 and 288 models.
Cody added that since installation of the MBO B26 Efficiency folder and A76 delivery unit, performance had been “trouble-free” and the quality of folding consistent.
