The service, which is based on the Vio Certified Soft Proofing (VCSP) system, will allow users to directly upload advertising artwork and related information to Mirror Group titles.
The system will automatically size-check, pre-flight and proof files to the Mirror Group’s exact colour printing profile prior to uploading to the group’s advertising production centre.
Mirror Group managing director Richard Webb said the system, which is scheduled to come online before the end of the year, would allow customers to send digital files matching the group’s requirements without the need for manual auditing.
He added: “We have achieved our aims of providing outstanding print quality for our advertisers, making submission as easy as possible and reducing the cost to the advertiser by up to 90%.”
Vio Worldwide managing director Chris Friend said: “Vio is dedicated to automating and simplifying the digital supply chain.”
