The new facility is also available for consumables companies to test their substrates with Mimaki machines.
The new office in Paris follows last year’s move to new premises in Amsterdam, where the firm has had its European headquarters since 2004.
The establishment of our new showroom and offices in Paris with more French speaking personnel enables us to serve the French speaking market even better and react quickly to its diverse requirements," said Mimaki Europe managing director Sakae Sagane.
At last month’s Fespa Digital 2009 in Amsterdam the firm showed several new products across its range including its first UV-cured printers to utilise LED UV lamps. It launched the flagship JFX-1631 UV LED, a 1.3x3.2m machine that handles rigid boards up to 50mm thick.
It also announced new UV inks developed in conjunction with 3M suitable for its UJV-160 hybrid rigid and roll-to-roll machine. The inks are available in both hard and soft formulations; the soft formulation is claimed to stretch up to 200% without cracking, making it suitable for use of flexible and curved substrates including shutters and vinyl vehicle wraps.
