The direct mail printer has experienced a growth in demand for complex variable data print jobs during the last 12 months, including taking on all the print production for its parent company Saga.
The new press continues Metromails tradition of investing in Xerox, and joins two DocuPrint 92c highlight colour printers, two 4635s and two DocuPrint 350 continuous sheet feeders.
Director of commercial affairs Lee Maher said: "We have recently won contracts on the strength of our Xerox equipment. Its reliability means we can guarantee to meet demands for speed and quality."
The Docuprint 180 can print 180 pages a minute and cope with 3m impressions a month.
