The Hertfordshire pre-press dealer has decided to phase out from its operations and is in negotiations with potential purchasers, according to executive director Jean-Thomas Olano.
A further announcement is expected next week.
At the end of last year the firm parted company with managing director Jo Simons, made a number of redundancies and closed its Leeds office.
However, MCSi subsequently announced plans to boost sales by 30% by offering a complete systems and services offering.
MCSi is owned by Mitsubishi Corporation and supplies consumables from Mitsubishi Paper Mills and Lastra. It is also the UK distributor for Sinar digital cameras and a Creo reseller.
