Nisarg Doshi, managing director of Maze Cards, said: "The Genius 52UV operates with five short inking units and UV hardening inks. In addition to varnish and special inks, the fifth printing unit can also be deployed to print opaque white inks, as well as gold and silver ones. The machine functions without the need for any ink zones, water or isopropanol."
Vijaya Kumar, production manager, United Tectsa, stated that the machine prints on materials of up to 0.8mm in thickness.
He added: "The machine prints screens of up to 120lpc. The option achieved for our unit allows the machine to be lifted by 24.5cm thereby permitting higher print runs without changing the pile. In addition, automatic plate replacement on all five printing units greatly increases the machine's efficiency."
Maze Card installs Genius 52UV at United Tectsa's Nashik plant
A Genius 52UV, a waterless B3 sheetfed press with UV curing has been installed at United Tectsa, an Indian subsidiary of card manufacturer Anil Printers. This is the fourth installation of a Genius 52UV in India.
