The deal will lead to German-based Mayer-Kuvert-network entering into a strategic partnership to continue to supply the merchant's envelopes, including the Conqueror range (pictured).
The sale will involve Mayer-Kuvert acquiring Antalis' two envelope manufacturing plants at Dyce in Aberdeen and Dagenham in Essex for an undisclosed sum.
Antalis managing director Henry Cubbon said the deal would enable Antalis to be more cost competitive, as envelope manufacturing in the UK is currently going through a process of consolidation.
The deal is expected to be concluded within the next five weeks.
This latest buy follows Mayer-Kuvert's purchase Eagle Envelopes, which has two plants in the UK, and Dublin's Trimfold Envelopes from paper maker Smith Anderson in January.
