Manroland exhibits small-format kit at technology show

Manroland has showcased a range of products for the small-format press market at The Technology Forum in Offenbach, Germany.

The Roland 50, which premiered at Drupa 2008 and recently won the 2008 German Printing Industry Innovation Award, took centre stage on the German kit manufacturer's stand. It can print on substrates up to 0.8mm thick.

Also on show was an inkjet system designed for use with the Roland 50. The technology allows for personalisation and batch numbering.

In addition, the company displayed its flexible coating machine, the Roland InlineCoater, which is designed for occasional and simple coatings on paper or cardboard.

A spokesperson for Manroland said: "Production efficiency and product value have nothing to do with press format or the size of a printing company.

"Manroland illustrated this with the inline applications of its Value Added Printing strategy."
