MAN Roland to add length to 500 and depth to 700 for Ipex exhibit

MAN Roland will show enhancements to its sheetfed and web-offset presses in addition to workflow and process optimisation products at the show.

Sheetfed presses will include the recently introduced long-perfecting version of the B2 Roland 500 and a larger sheet-size option for the B1 Roland 700 (pictured).

MAN claims that the additional depth of the sheet, by getting more items on a sheet can boost productivity by 50% for some applications.

"It's always been offered as a bespoke option, but now it's on the list," said MAN Roland GB director of post-press and sheetfed sales Gary Doman. The bigger sheet option adds 40mm of depth 780mm as opposed to the standard 740mm width of 1,040mm is the same.

Speedy makeready, which the firm claims can be cut by 30% with its QuickChange kit and one-pass production with its InlineFoiler will also be highlighted as ways to boost sheetfed productivity.

Software and systems to improve productivity will include the printnet package for press and quality control.
