MAN Roland rumoured to be in talks with Xerox over DocuColor

MAN Roland is believed to be in discussions with Xerox about selling its DocuColor digital sheetfed presses.

A close source told PrintWeek that Roland would sell the Xerox range, including new launch iGen3, from the autumn.

MAN Roland Great Britain declined to comment while a spokesman for Xerox UK said it was "not aware" of an agreement.

However, the deal would make sense as Roland has been left without a sheetfed digital press since Xeikon, whose engines it sells under the DICO brand, canned the CSP 320 D.

MAN Roland chief executive Gerd Finkbeiner said at Ipex that it was looking for an alternative sheetfed engine for its digital line-up.
