Pilot customers from around the world, including three firms in the UK, have been chosen to beta test the new service tool.
"The idea of the telePresence system is that it collects data from the press and sends it down the line to us," said MAN Roland GB sheetfed service director Malcolm Pendlebury.
"If we can fix it over the phone or with telePresence then were saving the customer money and our resources."
All MAN Roland 300, 500, 700 and 900 presses that have been shipped since Ipex 2002 can use telePresence, while MAN Roland can upgrade all presses shipped since 1990 for integration.
