The new range is a consolidation and relaunch of brands following M-reals acquisition of Zanders, and the closure earlier this year of MoDos Silverdalen mill.
"The acquisition of Zanders left us [M-real] with a range of products not easily recognised as a cohesive brand," said M-reals digital imaging marketing manager, Dr Helga Zollner-Croll.
"By consolidating the range and launching it under the silver name, we have created a more focused range of products."
The silver paper range comprises four brands for Indigo and Xeikon machines, and digital colour laser, cut-size ink-jet and large-format printers.
They are: silver digital, formerly known as Silverblade Digital (a woodfree range available in sheets and reels), silver image (woodfree papers with a special surface treatment), silver jet (a coated paper suitable for most types of inkjet printing and formerly known as Zanders Imaging Jet) and silver jet pro, formerly known as Zanders Imaging Jet Pro (for use on large-format printers).
The silver paper range will be produced at Zanders Gohrsmhle mill and the Pont Sainte Maxence mill in France. M-real Digital Imaging will use the sales network of M-real Alliance and Map Merchant Group.
