Litho Supplies unveils B3 Shinohara press at GAE event

Litho Supplies will give the first UK showing of the Shinohara 52VP convertible-to-perfecting B3 press at the GAE open house next month.

The five-colour press will feature at the 5-7 February event alongside the first UK unveiling of the MGi Meteor multi-substrate colour digital press.

The Shinohara 52VP offers makereadies of less than 10 minutes with production speeds of up to 15,000iph.

The press features a three-over-two perfecting mode, is CIP3/CIP4-ready and is claimed to competitively produce a fine print quality on runs in the hundreds to thousands.

GAE joint managing director Bryan Godwyn said: "We are targeting a very competitive sector of the market and business is not on hold waiting for Drupa."

He added that many smaller printers would probably not make the trip to Germany, so "right now we are keen to demonstrate a number of exciting products".

The open week will take place on 5-7 February at GAE's Perivale showroom.

Litho Supplies acquired GAE for £2.3m last week, following last year's Shinohara UK joint venture.
