Leeds Impress students pick up 1st degrees

The first graduates from the University of Leeds Impress degree programme received their degrees yesterday (13 July).

The part-time distance-learning programme was designed and tailored to meet the needs of the rapidly changing printing industry.
Among those who collected their awards was Kingsway Printers' Gary Davies.

Davies achieved BSc Honours for his Impress degree at the Department of Colour and Polymer Chemistry, University of Leeds.

"Much of what he has learned will be of great benefit to us in the future," said Kingsway managing director Richard Pullan.
The graduates were drawn from a range of backgrounds within printing, packaging and graphics.
