The press is Canon's first to print high quality images at up to 100ppm per minute and was released in September before being shown for the first time in Europe at Canon Expo in Paris from 13-15 October.
Canon said the combination of speed and quality will enable Bristol-based Latent Light to produce competitively priced work for clients ranging from consumers to art galleries.
The C10000VP, installed at the end of November, will initially be used to produce high-end printed materials, including photobooks for customers. It joined an ImagePress C6000VP and C7000VP.
Latent Light founder Adam Gildersleeve said: “Many of our customers order prints of special moments so we need to be sure what they receive has a real wow factor.
“We brought print in-house over a decade ago to control the quality of our output. With the new C10000VP we’ll be building on this foundation and be able to deliver images of the highest standard, more quickly than ever before.”
Gildersleeve said he had confidence in the image quality and the company also benefitted from the fully automated aspects of the machine.
“The new engine allows us to work in a far more efficient and productive way, without compromising on the quality we pride ourselves on.”
