The 3,000sqm facility in Austria will produce impression cylinders and print unit side panels for large-format machines up to 1.62m.
Heidelberg's Stephan Plenz, responsible for system manufacturing, said the company was targeting sales of €100m from boosting its contract manufacturing capabilities.
As such, the plant will also be opened up for use by other commercial companies from the mechanical, automative and wind engineering industries.
