The B2 (530x750mm) sheetfed device can take paper from 70-350gsm and runs at up to 2400sph B2 and 3600sph SRA3.
Foil from rolls sticks to monochrome print as the paper passes through. Then four colours can be overprinted digitally. The DM-Liner works with any toner-based printer.
A Malaysian company has signed for the device and NXP Europe of Kent, UK is due over today (Friday) to complete his deal. A third is under negotiation.
The system features automatic foil ordering. Stephanie said that the works on a ‘stamp charge’ similar to the HP Indigo’s ‘click charge’ to measure consumption.
“This gives perfect foiling at a fair price,” she said. “Our booth has been crowded and normally every customer that comes to our booth wants to know about our DM-Liner.”
