The business brought its flagship Kongsberg C24 digital cutter, its modular X24 table, and the MultiCam Apex 3R CNC router to its display area at the Messe Berlin.
Wim Brunsting, EMEA sales director at Kongsberg, said that this year visitors will see more of its machines’ capabilities on display than ever before, with a huge variety of tools.
He added: “With our C24, we’ll demonstrate how a range of innovative Kongsberg tooling delivers new freedoms in design and creativity.”
Brunsting listed a range of cutting tools for the machine that would be on display, including its specialist corrugated board CorruSpeed cutter, Psaligraphy (paper-cutting) knife, and signature VariAngle tool, which allows cutting at any angle from 0° to 60° at up to 100m/min.
He added: “Delivering total freedom in the design of 3D creative displays, it completely removes the need to stop production when changing tools, drastically reducing setup times and increasing cutting speeds.”
It is this flexibility, Brunsting said, that Kongsberg wants to show off at Fespa.
“In today’s volatile market, where both customer demands and capabilities of technology change rapidly, it is important to invest in equipment that offers the flexibility to grow in line with business needs,” Brunsting said, pointing to the diverse range of applications for the X24 cutting table, which will also be on display.
He added that the team is demonstrating add-on tools at the event, like the Kongsberg PowerHead - a heavy-duty head with the equivalent of 50kg downforce, and the FoamHead, which uses a reciprocating knife to tackle foam materials.
Kongsberg is also displaying its MultiCam’s flagship 3R CNC router after it acquired the company late in 2021.
The Apex 3R is designed to cut through a variety of materials, including plastic, aluminium, wood, and foam, with spindle speeds that range from four to 13.3HP as required.
