The NS40 is Komori’s version of the Landa S10; both machines use a Komori chassis and transport system with Landa’s Nanographic imaging system.
One of these presses will go to Cassachrome, Belgium, a specialist in fine art and book printing that has been using Komori litho presses for many years.
Robert Holscher, Komori Europe director of digital sales, said: “Extending our ‘print on anything’ philosophy to our digital portfolio has proven to be exactly right.
“Both the B2-format IS29 inkjet press and the NS40 have received huge interest.”
The Impremia IS29 system, developed in cooperation with Konica Minolta, has generated strong sales so far, says Holscher.
The NS40 on show at drupa will be available in both four-colour and seven-colour configurations, with an optional coating unit.
According to Holscher, installations of the NS40 presses are scheduled for spring 2018. “We will first complete the entire beta-phase together with Landa,” he said.
