The 2100 plus is an enhanced version of the current 2100 digital printer. This redesigned model offers a more modular and flexible platform.
The new feeding and delivery options, including links to inline finishing, along with a wider range of stocks and paper sizes make it more flexible.
Although the basic speed remains unchanged at 70 A4ppm, NexPress said that enhancements made for more productivity, which the firm claimed is more important for digital printers than pages per minute.
It has also revealed the first new machine in the range, the NexPress 2500, which is based on the same platform but works faster at 83 A4ppm. It will begin shipping in Q1 2006.
Kodak's stand at Digital Print World at Earls Court 2 next month (18-20 October) will be the first UK showing of the 2100 plus.
