The Approval proofing system was sold by Kodak.
Akshay Dawer, director at Stark Packmate, said: "Kodak Approval NX system is the most advanced digital proofing system which can print any substrate. The customers need not spend time and extra money on the proofs. The system produces the proofs exactly as the art work."
With the Approval system, the company aims to cater three segments – printer convertors, advertising agencies and the brand managers directly.
Abraham Prabhakar, regional manager South at Kodak India, said: "As lots of jobs are also export oriented, the print firms have to take extra care before printing the actual job. This is where Approval systems scores."
Meanwhile, Kodak also announced the sale of Trendsetter 400 to Siliguri-based Hindi daily newspaper Janpath Samachar. This CTP platesetter was sold by Fujito India.
Deepak Jain, managing director at Fujito India, said: "We are very excited with the sale. This is our first sale of Trendsetter in India. Janpath Samachar is a leading Hindi daily newspaper in Siliguri and we are sure they will benefit from the Kodak technology in terms of quality and time saving."
