What did the job entail?
Adverset managing director John Easby became involved with Heroes Welcome, which organises reception events for returning service personnel, through friends and family who had served in the Falklands.
As a supporter of the scheme Easby offered to produce a range of products including pull up banners, window stickers, A5 leaflets and posters. They were then distributed to businesses such as shops, hotels and restaurants to show their support.
How was it produced?
The banners were produced on a 165 mic opaque banner material from Antalis, with built-in laminate. The company turned the job around in two days, producing two banners, 500 window stickers, 350 posters and 500 leaflets. All the products were printed on a Mimaki CVJ30-160.
What challenges were overcome?
According to Easby, the biggest challenge was getting promotional material all the way to the Falklands intact and on time. He said: "Everything had to be double packed so that there was no damage in transit. The Falklands is a long way."
What was the feedback?
Heroes Welcome administrator Clive Linton said: "We got so much excellent feedback from everyone involved. The material was always consistent and good quality and exactly the criteria we asked for. The banners were extremely impressive it really captured the image we were hoping for."
