One of the 74 Karats, due to be installed in August, will be the first machine in the UK to come with a coater. It is going to London-based East Central One Media, part of The Adplates Group. The two firms were in discussion for two years before finalising the deal.
It went through the press with a fine-tooth comb, said KBA UK national sales manager Michael Grieger. The deal was made by NCS director Richard Bates.
NCS was the first UK company to order a 46 Karat, and will announce the customer soon.
The other 74 Karat was ordered by Studio Repro, a Sussex-based pre-press and exhibition displays firm.
