J&G Environmental launches empty toner cartridges recycling scheme

J&G Environmental has launched a recycling scheme for empty toner cartridges and mobile phones that will benefit sufferers of potentially fatal breast cancer.

It is being run in conjunction with Environment Agency-approved waste carrier collect2save, and is open to J&G customers as well as non-customers.

The aim is to recycle all the inkjet cartridges and all the mobile phones which are reconditioned and sold to developing countries where they are most needed.

When the boxes are full they will be collected free of charge by J&G from existing customers.

J&G general manager John Haines said: "We have been recycling ever increasing amounts of print waste for over 25 years and we hope the extension of our services to a wider market will raise many thousands of pounds to aid breast cancer sufferers."

J&G will donate all profits from the scheme to Breast Cancer Care, the charity that helps people who are suffering from the disease.
