S N Agrawal, director at Print O Land, said: "We came across the KHS-AI technology and found some interesting aspects related to production and costs savings. This tilted our decision in favour of Lithrone S429."
The Komori Lithrone S429 installed at the unit features fully automatic plate mounting and closed loop colour management.
Sangam Khanna, director of Insight Print Communications, said: "The new installation will help them leverage their business expansion as KHS-AI tool alone will help reduce capital cost of equipment by at least 50%. KHS-AI helps in adjustments and optimisation of the press, which reduces waste and increases profitability."
Insight ensured that the team at Print O Land visit print firms with Komori presses. "Anupam Arts in New Delhi guided us with the nitty-gritty of the press. We also compared the price, warranty, service and support before finalising the Lithrone buy," said co-director P N Agrawal.
Established in 1978, the firm recently moved to a new 3,000 sqft three-storeyed building. It serves clients from jewellery, creative arts and textile business, among others.
Besides the Lithrone, the firm has two four-colour presses from Dominant and Heidelberg but outsources pre-press through a local bureau High Tech Digital. It consumes 1,000 plates and 50 MT of paper per month.
Print O Land employs 20 persons.
