The new firm, which began trading at the end of May, is headed up by chairman Gerry Chilcott, production director Dean Larkham and sales director Ian Savage.
The eight-staff firm's print capabilities are built around a Xerox Docucolor 5252 and a 120ppm monochrome Nuvera, both supplied by distributor Xeretec.
"Our experience is with Xerox equipment especially on the mono side, and for the type of work that we wanted to produce in colour its equipment was ideal," said Savage. Other parts of the 300,000 spend on the start-up included: an EBA 551 programmatic guillotine; a Foldnak 8 bookletmaker with trimmer; an Iram 12 drill; an Electro-Creaser and a Rhin-o-Tuff punch and bind unit.
"We liked how compact, productive and reliable it all seemed," said Savage. The post-press kit was sourced by Xeretec through Morgana. IQ, based in Farnham, Surrey, hopes to record a turnover of around 1m in its first year.
