Marie Claire, which has a circulation of just under 315,000 copies per month, is currently printed gravure at Prinovis' Nuremberg site in Germany. The other 16 titles up for review, including InStyle, Loaded and Homes and Gardens, are printed by St Ives. The estimated value of the business is £10m.
The majority of the magazines are monthlies handled by St Ives' Roche and Plymouth sites, but the contract also includes weeklies NME and Look, both printed at Peterborough.
The existing print contracts for the magazines expire in June 2010. Weekly ‘lads' mag' Nuts, printed at Polestar, is not included in the review.
"We will probably look to keep the titles together as a batch with one supplier," said IPC manufacturing director Jasper Scott.
